HEY GOD...by b. Malin

QUESTIONS...
Hey God, I couldn't sleep at all last Night.
I tried counting Sheep...But that didn't help.
I found myself thinking about You...
And the Burdens on Earth,
And all that We Put you through...
But still... I have Questions for you.
What do you do with the Good that Die Young?
Do You Personally pick up the Young Soldiers,
Dying on some Foreign Soil all Alone...
Do You Cradle Them in your Arms,
As You carry them Home...
Do you dry their last Tears, and still all their Fears?
And do their broken bodies become whole once again?
Is there a Special Place in Heaven for them?
What about the Babies and Toddlers, and Teenagers,
Who Die because of Neglect, or Anger, or Accidents,
Or Sickness, or Suicide...Do They make You Cry?
Do You Personally Lead Them Home to Heaven?
Do They cry for what They might have been?
And does that make You Cry too, as you Comfort them?
And the Sick and the Elderly, whom are ready to die,
But afraid to enter your Palace...
Do You personally greet them at the Gate...
Do You put your arms around them,
As you comfort their Fears and dry their Tears?
And what about the Murderers...
And those who claim to kill in your Name?
Whom Do you Blame for that...
And in the End, As you dry Your Tears,
Do You forgive Us?
As You grant us another Day.

My father always told me that God is all good, but he is not all powerful which helped me understand why bad things happen to good people.
well b. questions which haunt us all! I've come to terms with many, just not sure whether the answers came from me or if they came from Him! Perhaps, I like to think, that if the body is but an earthly tent, then death is but, a change of residence. Be well!
The mystery of faith...why?
Very thought provoking. Thank U* Barb.
Cher
This has given me something to write about which is a great gift and I thank you.
This is an awesome poem barb. I love your questions, and I love that you include victims of suicide, because those that die of suicide, I feel are victims. Very thought provoking, as Cheryl said above. Great job.
Thought provoking b.? I hope you find the answers you're looking for. It's important for us ask them in the first place and when we do, the answers seem to flow!
Hi B,
You speak for all of us in asking these questions. With no answers and no understanding it makes life even sadder. But it is good to cry, so thank you for a beautiful poem.
You have asked the question that I most wanted to hear the answers for. When you see suffering first hand it is hard to believe that there is a God at all. Faith is very hard to keep when suffering is so near and world wide, are you still looking for the answers too?
What a wonderful poem. Very profound and thought provoking. Although, the answers to why, are relatively simple according to Edgar Cayce and John Edwards. If we are only spirits visiting this institution of higher learning (the physical plane), the bodies that we occupy are of little significance. According to the seers mentioned above, all is with definate purpose. When you go through this life and cause harm, pain and strife, and interfer in the learning process of other souls, you must come back to pay some retribution for breaking the karmic laws. The severity of the harm you have done in a past life is paid for by, or directly proportionate to, the severity of the life that you must live in retribution.
I always wonder about babies and children that die . . . where do their souls go? They didn't live long enough to choose between right and wrong. Surely there is a special place in heaven for them to grow up healthy and happy.
Have only just now, this past week, read Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol, and this poem brings it quickly to mind . . . the long asked question, observation, that only the good die young, etc... will remain with us humans always I think, and I think Brown's ultimate presentation of God within each of us, rather than a singular entity to ask for answers and justice, is one that is intriguing.` Very nice piece, and thought provoking, as so many have already well said.
I often question my own faith sometimes. The sorrow and pain, and the questions, oh, the questions of why?, why? why?
the flawed should never pick up the scales of justice and try to rule on a case, even as public seeming as those in WWII. For every one who fails the law and cannot be completely claimed by grace for the fullness of the law one keeps finds themselves in a hell of sorts or a halt in progress even if it is in the midst of heaven looking at everything they failed to obtain because of a case of stiff neckedness.
You know...this is a very deep, very important piece of poetic pondering and said with the right words...
God sure is a compassionate one and He is the One to pick us up every time, the One to forgive our transgressions and the One to comfort us.
You could have not said it better...Awesome piece!
lol that is a nice way of saying that I have a flair for run on sentences. lol
the flawed should never pick up the scales of justice and try to rule on a case, even as public seeming as those in WWII. For every one who fails the law and cannot be completely claimed by grace for the fullness of the law one keeps; finds themselves in a hell of sorts, or a halt in progress. This happens even if that damnation is located in the midst of heaven. It only means that those who find themselves short end up looking at everything they failed to obtain because of a case of stiff neckedness.
.....what's going on these days at the HUB - all this talk about God - even the epi-man got in on it - lol lol - but you really spilled out your poetic heart and soul here - and who cares about sentence structure anyway - the main thing is that you spoke from your heart and mind - and besides you can 'run on' anytime you'd like with me - or even run away with me too!
...and a writer's mind is always in conflict - that is the reason why most of us write - mixed feelings - both good and not so good!!!! And it's always a work in progress!
I really enjoyed this chat with God, most familiar as I have had a few of these myself. Rated up. Thank you for sharing!
"Do You forgive Us?" He does, He does forgive us. Anyone who repents and believes in Him is never, ever cast out or away. We have so many questions and He has so many answers and when the two collide we are renewed and restored. I love that word, restored. So much happens because God gave us free will to choose, He doesn't want mindless robots. We often choose wrong and bring pain and chaos to our world. You have written a whole new Conversations With God here. I enjoyed it.
Very emotive piece, you cover almost every human demographic, and you certainly provide food for thought.
I was brought up to believe this,
Do onto others, before they do onto you, and run before the police get there!
It took my children to change that mindset, because children are truly heaven sent.
wonderful article :)
Wow! A simply heart-wrenching powerful poem. It brought tears to my eyes.
What talent! Voted up and awesome.
b.Malin, what if you had 15 children, and you raised them and loved each one with all your heart. You fed them, looked after their needs, guided them with a book of instructions. Then, they all grow up, and make CHOICES. Some will be good, some will be bad. Then they come to you with their problems. You will cry, but you will forgive and still love them. So it is with our God.

Some deep thoughts here and from His Word taken from Johns gospel Chapter 6:37-All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
